She was born in the year 1957. Her full name is Bhuvaneswari, she has acted in more than 300 films. She hails from Tamil Nadu, India. Miss Biocon 2010 Bhuvana also took part in this beauty pageant contest which urged her to be a model for the face of Biocon. Bhuvana has done herbal medicine works since 2007 and resides at Chennai, India with her husband and son. This actress is married to M Natarajan who served as an MP for five terms starting from 1996 to 2004 under Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party founded by C N Annadurai . She has completed her B.Sc in chemistry honours in 1976 and graduated in 1978. After she completed her studies she immediately started doing job with the Food and Drug Administration until 1978 when she quit and gave birth to her first child. The second child also came in 1979 and this was when she opted for a career as an actress. Bhuvana also worked as an actress for All India Radio, Doordarshan and Kasturi’s Hall Halli Band. Bhuvana won the Miss Biocon 2008. Miss Bhuvana is the first time to win this title which was held for 147 years by Baldevi Sangeeta Devi of Rajasthan. Bhuvana's first film ever was "Panga" in 1975. She has had over 34 years of experience in acting and is the first Indian actress to act in an American movie - "Philadelphia" (1992). She has starred in more than 300 films and acted in several Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi movies. She has acted in many major films; she had acted in "Thupparivaalan" (1978), "Devadas" (1979), "Lal Saab" (1981), "Vaaranam Aayiram" to mention a few. She did a Malayalam movie titled, Nirakkare Nirakkare - which was a remake of the Tamil movie of the same name released in 1980. Her other movies include ""Welcome"" and "Ponmaikkaadu". She has also worked with actor Charan Raj. In 2005, she appeared alongside Raksha in the film, Bhoomi starring Vijay and Trisha. Bhuvana was last seen in "Sakhi" with Shriya Saran.She had acted in more than 300 films, of which, she received awards like the Padma Shree (2005), the Best Actress Award (Tamil Nadu State Film Awards 2006) and the Best Woman Star Award (MAA Awards 2006). Bhuvana has also done her works as an expert herbalist and had started her work with Biocon Company.
